"Keyauwee has been my daughter's home away from home for the past 11 years. I will never forget my  kindergartener telling me that she was ready to spend a whole week away! The day we pulled up, walked to the dining hall and then to the bunk house, I knew she found her special place. Bugs and her crew made such a valuable impression on her that summer. As a result, summer became her Keyauwee adventure time. Milestones were measured on what activities she qualified to do - swimming, horse back riding, the tower! She couldn't wait to get her summer camp catalog to start planning her camp time. She has gone from a somewhat apprehensive six-year-old camper to a qualified CIT II as a result of the skills, compassion and leadership of this camp's directors and staff. We feel truly blessed that this program exists in our area and we have been fortunate to be a part of it! I know that some of my most cherished treasures are the years of letters sent home from camp. I have kept the postcards from the counselors and the letter from my daughter-these are the priceless gifts of life!"

"I attended camp at Camp Golden Valley and Keyauwee Program Center. At Keyauwee, we rode horses every morning. We also swam, boated, did arts and crafts and cooked outdoors. I would definitely go to camp again- it was alot of fun and I enjoyed being around other girls."

"I was 6 when I first started going to Keyauwee Program Center. Now I’m 16, and Keyauwee has become a colossal part of who I am as a person. In my 11 years at camp, I have had so many opportunities I otherwise never would have had. I got the opportunity to go spelunking, rafting, zip lining, canoeing and primitive camping. Without Keyauwee, I doubt that I would have attempted any of these things. Keyauwee has seen me grow from a bubbly little girl, to an awkward teenager, and now to a mature young adult. I appreciate every lesson that going to Keyauwee has ever taught me. There is nothing better than the warm welcome I receive every time I come to camp.
